QUALIFICATIONS:

      EDUCATION

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent
• Training in de-escalation techniques such as Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI); must be able to register within one year of accepting position.

      LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:

• An Operating Engineer’s license is preferred
• An EPA Section 608 Refrigeration Certificate is preferred
• Certificate, Completion of Apprenticeship Electrical Trades

      NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have attained eighteenth birthday at time of appointment.
• Will be required to possess a valid Louisiana driver's license at time of appointment.
• An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted

     TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

            Minimum 4 years’ experience in a healthcare maintenance or plant operations setting,  performing duties which included the operation, maintenance and repair of boiler, heating, refrigeration, ventilation and power        equipment  including the operation and maintenance of air conditioning systems involving the use of automatic controls. Residential and light commercial construction or maintenance experience does not apply

            Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Journeyman Electrician

The CNA is responsible for effectively interacting with the patient, significant others and other health team members, while maintaining standards of professional nursing.  They will also use the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related criteria for the adult and geriatric population.

 EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Basic knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles.
